ARTIST | DEVELOPER | ENTREPRENEUR
I am a Buffalo native who moved to Vermont by way of NYC in 2016. I spent 4 fulfilling years at the University of Vermont managing an inter-generational community pottery studio and fulfilling other duties as a student life professional in Residential Life. Ten years as a ceramic artist, educator, and operations manager honed my instincts into a sharp eye, an honest communication style, and a deep delight for the creation and implementation of systems. These skills transferred easily to my career in tech, which began when the studio closed due to the pandemic in 2020.
My time as a software engineer has refined my logistical and project management skills, allowing me to successfully realize a project through all phases of the software development life cycle. This, coupled with extensive opportunities to work inter-departmentally on a variety of projects, has shaped me into an agile team player willing to develop, enhance, deliver, and promote applications.
My affable and hardworking nature shines brightest on a team that prioritizes interpersonal connection, integrity, and social responsibility. It is my sincere hope to align my career goals with an organization who is focused on building and maintaining equitable practices in their field.
I strive to attain this personally through volunteering with the Vermont Professionals of Color Network and by serving on the Board of Directors for the Media Factory in Burlington, VT. I also own and operate Hartwig Handmade pottery studio, where I donate a portion of different collections to various charities.
